Event Page Plugin Configuring Mark-up

As of version 2.0 you are now able to configure the information displayed for each event in the event list. You are able to add post and post meta fields, alter their html code to your liking and order them accordingly.

To configure your mark-up first:

  • Log into WordPress
  • Open the “Event Page” (which is located at the bottom of the vertical navigation on the left of your WordPress administration panel.
  • Click on the “Configure Mark-Up” option in the “Event Page” tab which will bring you to the mark-up editing page.

To add a field to your mark-up:

  • Select the field you’d like to add from the drop-down menu located above the table containing your current fields.
  • Click the “Add New Field” button directly to the left of the drop-down menu. This will automatically add your field.
  • Notice the mark-up under the table changes automatically.

To reorder your fields:

  • Simply rollover the row in the table you’d like to move.
  • Once the cursor changes click and drag the row to where you’d like it.
  • Notice the mark-up under the table changes automatically.

To edit a field’s name or mark-up:

  • Roll your mouse over the row of the field you’d like to change.
  • Click on the link that appears which says “Edit”.
  • Once the field’s name and mark-up have changed to editable fields alter them according to your specifications.
  • Click one of the “Update Field” buttons to render your changes.
  • Notice the mark-up under the table changes automatically.
  • Special Notes:
    • Remember that the mark-up can be configured however you like. Use your own classes. Add your own tags.
    • To place the value of the respective field anywhere in your mark-up use the stringĀ %value%.
    • To place a link to the post or page anywhere in your mark-up use the stringĀ %post_url%.

To remove a field from your mark-up:

  • Roll your mouse over the row of the field you’d like to change.
  • Click on the link that appears which says “Remove”.
  • Notice the mark-up under the table changes automatically.
