WordPress Automatic YouTube Video Posts Twitter Settings

AS OF VERSION 2.0 THE TWITTER OPTION IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND WILL PROBABLY BE BROKEN FOR PREVIOUS VERSIONS.

These options allow you to update your Twitter status reflecting the link to the new video post added to your WordPress blog.

Changing your settings

To change your settings please:

• Log into WordPress
• Open the “Youtube Posts” tab (which is located at the bottom of the vertical navigation on the left of your WordPress administration panel.
• Click on the “Twitter Settings” option in the “Youtube Posts” tab.

Settings Options

You have four options available to you on this page.

• Update my status on twitter when importing a video – When set to yes, if the next two fields (Twitter User Name and Twitter Password) are set, your Twitter status will be updated reflecting the link to the new video post added to your WordPress blog.
• Your Twitter email – Place whatever user name or email you use to log in to your Twitter account here.
• Your Twitter password – Place your twitter password in this field.
• Your Twitter status text – This field allows you to set the default text that will be used when updating your Twitter status. Use whatever text you like and place the string %twitter_link% wherever you’d like the link to be represented.
